Jake is a director, freelance editor, and die-hard horror fan. Jake draws inspiration from classic slasher films, romantic synthscapes, maximalism, teenage tragedy, and 90s sentimentality, while exploring themes of desire and sexuality.



 

His film, “Pigskin,” won 15 awards, including Best Student Film at ScreamFest 2016, and screened at Palm Springs ShortFest, New Orleans, FLICKERS Rhode Island, and Atlanta Film Festival. Pigskin has been featured on ALTER, NoBudge, and Screamfest’s YouTube channel. 



 

Jake edited “Weapons and Their Names,” which premiered at Sundance in 2023. He graduated with a BFA from Florida State University's College of Motion Picture Arts and now lives in Austin, Texas, with his collaborator and partner Christian Meola.
